We program this QSFP-100G-DR1 with Arista coding before shipping, at no extra cost. Your Arista equipment (7050X, 7060X, 7280R, 720XP) then sees it as its own optic, just like a QSFP-100G-DR. Optically it's the same QSFP28 transceiver: 100GBASE-DR, up to 500 m over OS2.
Arista EOS disables ports with a third-party module by default ('errdisabled', reason unsupported transceiver), so a generic MSA module won't just work. With Arista coding EOS accepts the module as an Arista optic and 'show interfaces transceiver' shows the DOM values.
