Aruba coding for the SFP-10G-ER

We program this SFP-10G-ER with Aruba coding before shipping, at no extra cost. Your Aruba equipment (CX 6300, 6400, 8360, 2930F/M, 3810M) then sees it as its own optic, just like a J9153A. Optically it's the same SFP+ transceiver: 10GBASE-ER, up to 40 km over OS2.

ArubaOS-CX and ArubaOS-Switch only accept modules with Aruba/HP coding; a generic module gives 'unsupported transceiver' and the port stays down. With Aruba coding the module works as an Aruba optic. Note: some CX models need a separate setting or licence for third-party modules, see the note under Coding.
