We program this SFP-10G-LR with Extreme Networks coding before shipping, at no extra cost. Your Extreme Networks equipment (ExtremeSwitching X-, 5000- en 7000-series (EXOS/VOSS)) then sees it as its own optic, just like a 10302. Optically it's the same SFP+ transceiver: 10GBASE-LR, up to 10 km over OS2.
EXOS and VOSS show third-party modules as 'unsupported' and, depending on version and settings, may disable them. With Extreme coding the switch recognises the module as an Extreme optic.
